Hey Tom, I'd add only this to what Chip said: If you've got access to a low heat gun (or a hair dryer), then heat up the sill plate before and as you're removing it. I found that it made the glue under the sill panel a little softer and so I found it easier to pry up the metal. I grabbed the edge of the sill plate with a set of pliers (although I did try to do it beneath a cloth to try and preserve the originals - I don't think it can be done..... :biggrin) Anyway, DO BE CAREFUL when you get to the end of the sill plate because it's being pulled up under tension. If you don't have that end under control, it's quite likely to 'pop up' and could potentially scratch your leather on the door or seat, or worse yet, some paint. (that didn't happen for me, but I do recall reading that somewhere on here before).
