The constant issue I face when driving my GT is the remote openers. I need one for my garage, my house gate and my subdivision.:frown :frown

After messing around with three remotes I came across the following universal unit from Homelink:

http://www.opendoorsandmore.com/hl-vis.php

I also contacted them and asked them if they would make a custom unit for the GT. I think they make the stock ford unit (like the one in my f150)

Anyone interested??? :banana :banana :banana

I have already purchased one...but would be interested in a custom unit.

I had used the visor clip, but I noticed that it was making an impression in the header. So now it sits it the passenger storage awaiting some tweaking.

I know a Homelink system that goes in your visor. So it looks stealth, and doesn't have to clip on. If anyone wants me to post a link I can. Unfortunately I am not yet a GT owner so I'm not too sure how think the GT's visor is, but I'm sure it's thick enough and will fit.

They are from a seller on my main car forum. Legit seller, and a nice price. Of course if anyone is skeptical about buying from someone you don't know instead of a company it's all good. Just trying to help out, and give you all another clean option.

Here is his thread.

And his email if you want to contact him that way so you don't have to make a user name.

I take the clips off my small remote gate and garage transmitters and velcro them to the visor, on the side facing the headliner. Out of sight, and no worries about them falling down.

Really? Must be a new feature because they just updated the whole site. Kinda a bummer.

I clipped my opener under the steering column. There is a gap between the column and the facia where the clip can fit - also put a piece of rubber under it to keep from any marking and moving.

With the multiple buttons, I also stuck a piece of rubber on one so that it has a "knob" - can then push the buttons by feel. Out of the way, out of sight, and no problem.

I am not sure but it seems like many car models have this option on the rear view mirror. I wonder if there is a Ford part that could easily replace the GT mirror and have the option? Anyone have a Ford with that option on the rearview?
