Earlier posted on the tech forum, but thought I would probably get a wider audience here. looking for Motorcraft Fuel Vapor Canister for my 2006 FordGT. Ford says the original part is no longer available and this is the replacement part and number. The car has been idle now for months while the search has been ongoing. Tried Summit, Amazon, etc. with no luck. Other forum members have suggested another canister could possibly be modified to fit. Any and all help is appreciated. Canisterless in Seattle!

Some parts sites say the same canister is also used on the 2004 Ranger.

The canister is a plastic can filled with charcoal. Have you tried to dry it out?
