For Sale:
1968 Shelby GT500, automatic, air condition, Highland green with black interior, tilt-away wheel, deluxe interior, fold down rear seat, original oil cooler, currently has original 10 spoke wheels with radial tires.
Interior is totally original (super clean) with the exception of console top vinyl was replaced.
I have owned since 1976 and it was fully restored (every nut and bolt) about 4 ½ years ago. All original fiberglass. Garage kept the entire time I have owned it.
I have Marti report, build sheet, Lois Eminger (sp) dealer order form and Ford letter.
The engine is a 428 cj, dressed with all my original parts, valve covers, carburetor, a/c unit, etc.
I have pictures of all the tags (door tag, buck tag, rear tag, a/c tag, windshield tag, Shelby number tag), correct rear, correct fan shroud, correct radiator, correct carburetor.
I also have pictures of it in bare metal from when we took it apart a few years ago which shows it has all its original metal, no patch panels, etc.
Since restoration I have driven the car on a 150 mile tour, driven locally, won an award at the only car show it was entered in against all other 60s cars and cruise nights, car runs great, all sorted out.
This is a super straight, rock solid, rust free car.
In Shelby registry, car has won many awards, at conventions did the high speed events and drag races prior to the rotisserie restoration. Car was driven by Walt Hane at Mid-Ohio.
