Double sided tape. It happens to almost all the GT's. Easy fix.

Any particular tape to use? Foam? Super duty automotive?
Or should I just wait until the carbon fiber panels become available?

The 3M foam tape works well. It's a 5 minute fix. If you're going to change it out to Carbon Fiber, you may as well wait.

there is Ford service bullitin addressing this. See old posts. Your Ford dealer has them. I went to a napa store near me and bought the thickest double sided tape the had (3M). No problems since.

They come loose from people hiting their head on the door, called a gurney :rofl :lol :rofl :lol

In all seriousness - all GT's have this minor problem. Double sided tape from 3M is what the dealer uses to fix it...

Costs about $1.99. Time 10 minutes. If your going for the CF ones- just take the stock ones off and store or sell to me :biggrin

Enjoy the weekend

Easy fix is the double sided mirror tape (3M). Get it from Home Depot or ACE. Comes in both little strips and a roll. Put several 2 inch long pieces around the perimeter.

Remember - you get one shot at putting it one, so be correct. Would be hard to take off without bending.

Works good. The stuff originally on there is thin so requires a perfect flat surfact. The mirror tape has a little thickness to it, so more forgiving.

Fixed mine 18 months ago - no issue even with AZ heat.
