Don't make the same mistake I did

Just so none of you guys repeat my mistake, here it is. I was driving along and the open door light kept flickering and the chime kept going off and on. Only at speed did this happen and I couldn't figure it out for the clam shell and doors were shut. Then I remembered that a few days before I was showing the car and opened the front hood. Because it lays backwards it seemed closed and frankly the only way I realized it was open was when I caught some mph and it started to lift a little. Thank God it opens backwards and I have to admit, I was cursing the car out for the chime was driving me nuts when the only thing nuts was the guy behind the wheel:eek An early good holiday season to all...BD40

I've had the exact same thing happen to me... and only when driving the car at speed. If your "door ajar" light comes on when driving pull over and check that the front hood is latched properly.

It happened to me a couple of timestoo. Scared the hell out of me until I realized that there is a second latch to keep it from getting too out of control.

Well, mine actually opened. Went to a car wash, the guy thought he had closed it. So I drive off get on a certain street in Los angeles and punch it, I hit 100 and boom the hood pops up scares the shit out of me and I slam on the brakes. I was wondering to myself how the phck did I not notice it wasn't closed.

Let me tell you that is the last time I make that mistake.
