That really looks pristine. No radar detector?

I guess these lady's and gents don't need them.

Outstanding, looks really nice. Trade for my Ford? My Dad had this 1964 GT850 below back in the day. No I couldn’t afford color film.

Trade? Which Ford?
The Blue one, okay deal.

Both I and my brother had several 850 Saabs each back in the early and mid 60s. Unique is an understatement - note that the radiator was behind the motor! My brother got a ride with Erik Carlson, who was touring US Saab dealers at the time. They went full bore down a dead end street and at the last minute, Carlson pulled the hand brake and spun the wheel and they rotated 180 degrees and proceeded still full speed in the opposite direction!

Talk about thinking outside the box. Lets see. Key in console, hood tilts forward, N/S engine but front wheel drive, belts by firewall, clutch/converter by radiator, trans case IS engine oil pan and of course the axles don't pop out of the diff because I love taking boots off and getting slimy CV grease all over everything! I haven't done a BW 35/37 in about 5 years but they win for "most pipes". At least there's no need to pull trans/engine to replace a clutch. Datsun 310? is only easier clutch job out there.

Nice car Stef
My Dad worked for Saab as a sales rep to dealers in late 70's
I remember them and as teenagers my brother and I kind of "tested" them :)

Wow, that's a great story, very cool.
One of my uncles in Texas would say of Carlson "he threw it in a broady".

Something I would have never expected.

Happened to be a Swedish show at XXX today. No overhead fan shaft models though. The 2 strokes have a declutch device so no engine braking unless you switch it on. Long engine braking on a 2 stroke will kill the engine because the lube is in the fuel. Makes sense but never thought about it on my bikes. He's done several rallies over the 20+ years he's had it. 24 hrs of Lemons is next weekend at Ridge Motorsports Park but he's only officiating this one. saab.jpgsaab1.jpgsaab2.jpgsaab3.jpgIMG_20230326_122057420.jpgsaab4.jpg

Looks like a fun event. Wish they had something like this here in SoCal.
Wow, 20 plus years doing rallying,
He would be the one to ask questions.
Thanks for the pics.
