Any UK blokes know this car? Couple of pages on google.

I actually bumped into him at the Monaco GP, at a Gentleman's Club by the harbor.....:biggrin

The engine's built-up from components by Audi race outfit Dialynx, it's based on the V6 unit from the RS4 bored out to 2.8-litres, two Garrett T25 water-cooled turbos and a Motec engine management system 440bhp. The options list includes an upgrade to 580bhp.

It has had some great reviews and costs roughly $160,000 on the road.

Not a Ford GT beater - 0-60 in 3.6 and tops at 180mph. Quick enough though.

I am not totally certain but I think Arash sold the rights to this prototype car earlier in 2006 to a guy called Gem Marsh who was the original owner of Marcus cars which were famous sports cars of the 60s and 70s. I am sure he has developed the original prototype in to a road going car which is due to be released in the next couple of months and I think the car was originally called Farboud-GTS under Arash but since he has bought ther ights it is now called a Farbiou-GTS. The report I read on the car about six weeks ago, it was fitted with a Ford V6 duratec engine and the road testers were amazed at what a brilliant car it was, and the price was going to be UK between £50,000and £60,000 which equates to around $110,000 and it was being developed to be sold in the US if I remember. I am sure this is the same car.

I think you mean Marcos, which if memory serves me corectly had a wood (plywood?) chassis. Also I think the correct spelling of his name is Jem and Gem.

Neil probably has additional info.
