Any Experience In Leather Panel Repair/Replacement?

The original owner of my GT did a Pele Jr. job on the leather covered panel section in the footwell, just to the left of the deadpedal. The leather has some deep gouges, scratches, and a few tears.

I'm curious if any owners have remedied this by either recovering the existing piece or replaced the entire piece. If so, what was the outcome in matching, cost, and availability with either route. Any advice or lessons learned would also be appreciated.

Thanks for any feedback!

GAHH in California will recover any automotive panel to like new

They pressure fit to original grain for about $75 for that size

I would try salvage guys too, that one area that's ok

One of the original brochures had name of hide, volo or nappa

nice resource Kayvan. thanks

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but if i am not mistaken the bluish colored leather in the GT came from the jaguars parts bin.

What Bluish colored leather?

What Bluish colored leather?

The footwell leather is dark blue not black. If you guys find the matching color dye let me know.

Are the leather panels a Ford part# or subcontracted as an entire subassembly

HHGT if you haven’t noticed most of the trim and dash leather in the GT has a bluish tone.

Only on this forum could I find out that the interior that I thought was black actually has a blue hue in less than 24 hours after posting a question on this part. I may never be able to look at it the same again. Gotta love this place.

Thanks Kayvan for the recco!

My window sticker says Ebony.
