Wonder what time the new GT might need

These acceleration times are other worldly, especially for those of us who remember 0-60 times @6 seconds as being great, < 5 seconds unbelievable.

My 991 TTS (2016) does it in 2.5...much faster. That's pretty much what they do out of the box, far less than the 2.9 Porsche claims

Again, 2.5 sec to 60! Think of that in the tradtional testing. And while the Porsche isn't chopped liver, it is not supercar $$ either, (entry level supercar maybe?).
Furthermore, outside of Porsche type maintenance costs, this generation of performance cars aren't major PITAs to live with.

Tesla P90D...0-60 in 2.8 sec....1/4 mile in 10.9 sec.

No driving skills needed either! :wink

and recharge required immediately thereafter

McLarens, sub 3 to sixty, 10.6 quarters out of the box. The next round os super cars will have to be below 2.5 to get folk excited

Launch control has enabled these cars to do insane 0-60 times. For those of you that have it on your cars how often have you used it? I think I would do it once to experience it and probably leave it at that to save the wear and tear on the clutch and drive train..

One might assume so!
