My 1968 1/2 Cobra jet, Mustang. Last One Made, San jose plant. Marti report shows. Special purpose vehicle order type. Then went to Ford Motor Company, Salt lake city, Utah. Over $ 1,600 in options . NPD cover car, Legendary Ford magazine 45 yr anniversary featured car for 1968 yr. Very special car. Concourse restoration . One of nicest in existence and a strong pedigree. Going to list it with Mecum and thought I would put it out there first. Too much to list. Call for info. 352-650-1982
Thanks David

David: it was nice meeting you in Carlisle this past summer. will be down there with Doug this Feb. for Zephyr Hills. Extremely nice 68 1/2 !. so many people don't get what those cars were all about. the last one I had was the one of the fastest stock Mustangs I ever owned. not sure if it is the lighter weight or what. I've had a passion for the 68 1/2s. they are such a great car! I've restored a 68 1/2 coupe, convertible and a fastback. my last one was a 4 speed with radio delete and a big gear right from the factory. obviously ordered for one purpose! take care and good luck with the sale.

Scott, Thank you. It was a pleasure meeting you at Carlisle and so many more people I met there. Yes These are my favorite If I did not have the factory light weight I would not consider giving this car up. Trying to get my ducks in a row if I get a chance for the New Ford GT. Funny I sold my 68 1/2 Convertible in 2008 to get my first GT and have had all body styles plus the light weight 135 car.Can you say Ford Loyalty...
Thanks David

David: did you buy Turner's lightweight? I sold him the correct dated carb for that car. I couldn't even figure out what was a 67 date coded 68 1/2 carburetor until Mike Ulrey told me then it made sense.

Scott, Mine was a rare find all original paint car sitting in a backyard in West Covina, CA. Russ David Ford car, Seam sealer delete car. 321 actual miles. Kept it original paint washed 40 years of dirt off it. Here is an article. Car was found in 2009. Took me two years to convince the cousin that inherited it to sell it to me.
