No I didn't have to slit the grommet. Like I mentioned, add a little spit (saliva) and you can slide the ball through the grommet hole. No slit, so no worry that it comes off.

We tried that. It's definitely in the latch under the clamshell.

This is the part we think broke. One on each side in the latch assembly side under the clamshell.

That's a great idea. I don't have a supercharger there anymore, so I may have room.

Confirmed with Bill (Shadowman) that the wheels fit over OEM brake calipers. He also stated they ran the 1/2" spacer to put the wheel fender flush, which I also prefer from a look perspective.
