Has anyone tried using a fine file to remove 2mm of material on the left side of the panel?

Getting that panel out was very tough. I wise person said that you don’t want to take that panel out again and recommended replacing the gauges with Autometer gauges. They are spot on to the OEM gauges. Apparently they are a better gauge than the Ford gauges. So I bought all the small gauges...

So leave them loose? Sorry but just want to get this correct. Paul

The zip ties on the two left gauges are very loose. Real loose. As this is the first time the panel has been out is this correct or did someone forget to tighten them? Thanks

My panel was almost impossible to remove. The blue tool was especially helpful as once the panel was loose. Then I could then get the right angle tool behind the panel and move it out. My 2 cents worth. Thanks to Kendall and Shadowman and everyone's comments or I doubt I could have done the job.
