Check the voltage with a voltmeter at the alternator or the battery like nota4re said. The in dash gauge is most likely not registering (initializing) due to it seeing a spike in voltage from the (new) charging alternators.

This is lots of fun if you are a Ford enthusiast or even a car guy. I have been there the last 6 years straight and showed one of the GT's for 5 of those years. Always a great experience. Will be there again this year with the 05 GT. I really look forward to this every year.

I would add dont forget to disconnect the battery first. I usually disconnect the negative cable and wait 45 min before proceeding.

Kendal, so is this a different type of hose than the original that will not weep after time? I have already replaced mine with another one that was sold earlier on the forum as a replacement but unfortunately that one is weeping after only 2 years.

Be careful with that horn emblem.After reading the ad it is a piece of aluminum that mounts over the existing emblem. Will it turn into a projectile in the event of an accident(God forbid)?I had my horn emblem restored by a former forum member here and the outcome was perfect.You will have to...

I just came across this thread looking to purchase another hose for a friends Heritage. After reading that the new return hose is failing in the same fashion as the original I went to check my GT . I can confirm my new replacement hose is weeping just like the original. Any updates on new hoses...
