As to your battery concerns, the less you know about the existing battery the concern level elevates. Age, cell condition, current charge if any, etc. The last thing you need is for that battery to explode. Been there done that but not in a GT. There are some chargers with a “restore...

Before any workout, I suggest all fluids, belts, hoses and tires get changed. Car is 17/18 years old and needs a re-fresh. And if there is no transmission cooler, get one added.

Some of these old GT farts know what they are talking about. Take the comments seriously. Your car is 17/18 years old. More than just tires need changing. You might consider contacting Forum member Rich Brooks as to a re-fresh. Car is a brute wrapped in class. Good pick on yellow!
