'Kinda hard to tell whether I like it or not. In some of those photos it looks 10 feet wide and 2 feet tall...in others it's 2 feet wide and 10 feet tall (lense used, I guess).

I'm no fan of the grille opening regardless, but, if the car's proportions are what I think they are - I like it.

That guy did it all on his own. No affiliation with Ferrari.

He said on Ferrarichat that he essentially added Ferrari visual cues to the Aston Martin One-77 to come up with that design.

Too bad. It would be the first Ferrari design I liked in a long time. :bored

If so Ferrari should hire him as a designer. Pretty nice looking car.

I think Aston Martin makes some "pretty" cars. I think the Top Gear guys say that too - they're pretty but not sometimes that's all :) Nonetheless, What he started with ain't too shabby.

Agreed. Love the One-77. Just love it even more as a GTO with the "improvements".

Best looking front engined Ferrari I've seen in 40 years - :thumbsup

The proportions remind me of that lovely polished aluminum Shelby concept coupe - too bad that never made it to production, although I think one of the body bucks was auctioned off recently?

Are you talking about the GR-1?

From Rally 3:

My Favorite Ferrari ever !!!

Yup, gorgeous

...and even better looking in person.

Didn't know they sold the GR-1 body bucks. Do you know when, and who bought them?

GT
There was a thread somewhere on this forum about it

Wow!
I just did a bit of googling and discovered that it sold for only $75K! Although only a roller, that sounds like a steal. The sale was at the RM auction during 2011 Pebble Beach. Hopefully the buyer is making it into a real vehicle

Lot 120, 2005 Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept Platform Model (in fiberglass). The car at Rally 3 was of course the "driver".

Concepts are always cool cars. Then the suites get involved and the desire to not blow the proverbial wad ends up equaling a watered down reality that is a barely recognizable disappointment. One of the few exceptions being the Ford GT...

I much prefer this concept to the current Ferrari styling direction. It even looks good with the 458 style headlights.

Let's hope the new Viper looks this good !!

...or the C7 for that matter.
