Clarkson Not So Funny Spoiled My Le Mans Plans

Bony - I can assure you I'm old enough, but I've never heard of the Freddy. Please elucidate. The Watusi, the Boogaloo, the Electric Slide, sure - but the Freddy?

Mind is foggy, will have to do a search unless somebody here bails me out...

Freddy and the Dreamers... I HATE it when I know this kinda stuff.:bored

Thank you,... do you recall the dance??? :)

It was Freddie and the Dreamers and while I remember the dance I don't think it ever had a name. Freddie was a milkman before he became an unlikely pop star (think a goofy-looking Buddy Holly) and he sadly died a couple of years back.

How can anyone FORGET it?:ack ('Tried for years...)

The link KingV attached shows PART of it. As I recall, he later added a kinda arm 'flapping' move while he was singing(?) which made that "dance" look even more 'simpleton'.

That group never "rang my chimes" too awful so pretty much for sum reason. 'Wundur whut 'twuz?...

(Jeeeerzee, go to your room...)

You're right Pockets, they were pretty bad. This clip should reveal all: go to around 3 minutes to see The Freddie in all its glory. Meantime, I must get back to work...

What you mean "we", Kimo Sabe?

are you old enough to have danced the Freddy?:biggrin:cheers:biggrin

Yeah, but I was listen more to "hard core" acts like Neil Sedaka and Herman's Hermits.

Well, that clip does explain it. I'm sorry I had to watch it. So that was the Freddy. I'll just go take an anti-emetic now to avoid blowing lunch all over the keyboard.

You know, that clip rather reminds me of Monty Python's classic, the "Twit Olympics".

OK, I'll stop now.

I was beginning to think this Forum was getting boring and I would never learn anything more...

Personally I find JC entertaining enjoy TC. I think his test of the FGT on TC is classic. Watch it frequently. Its "epoch".

Sounds like the original thread starter has a case of "sour grapes".
