What about fiberglass?

Boats are subjected to tremendous forces, they sit in the sun all day, those diesels get pretty hot and the fiberglass holds up. Of course the paint gets spider cracks I guess. Would fiberglass be easier to use and better than the plastic? Aluminum would be best, but that would certainly require a LOT of work and cost. CF would look nice too.

Maybe a special GTForum custom vent with something other than fins. Camilo can design it for us :cheers (Bouncy comes to mind)

FIberglass would be ok for a very simple piece with a combination metal grill ... but overall the set up would be expensive and the items of not up to scale quality. The parts are just too much detail.

Let's see what DBK comes up with ...

How many people have warped vents around the rear window?

65 is fine in both areas but ..... am looking at the future on other cars.

I have a metal prototype in the works for top and side vents.

I'll keep you all posted on progress and outcome.

My parts continue to warp even though I installed an accufab to try to cool the engine compartment. While underway the water temp averages 20 deg cooler.

I would be very interested in getting a set of these.
