Its a very interesting contrast the curvy 60s look vs the angular 70s look bcus the F40 is really the Ultimate 308

I heard Marcelo Gandini pretty much stole the GT40 profile for the Miura

You can see that when you see them together

The Muira is a work of absolute art.

Of course I feel that way about the GT and GT40.

I was in Maranello touring the Ferrari factory last Friday. They looked like they had a lot going on. The 458 looks to be an incredible car. The factory headers on it had to be at least 2.0 in. OD. They are going to sell a lot of these cars. Also, of the 3000 employees that they have there, 900 of them work in the F1 department and I dont see them cutting back in that area. So dont think that Ferrari is on the way down. If they did in fact cut back then its a business decision to maintain profitability. As far as the product goes and the brand reputation, they are both iconic and will continue to grow.

I wished they'd had made the concept:

It's sooooo close to the GT, but I would have loved to have owned one.

Problem at Ferrai is they overreached on production cars

Their goal was 20,000 cars worldwide but they only sold a bit over 9,000 but 2009 was a bear of a year for almost everybody
