Color and value in todays market

There's a GOOD REASON why white and red FGT's with stripes are more numerous ... THOSE ARE THE TWO COLORS THAT MOST BUYERS WANTED ... period. If that was true when purchased new, why should it be any different now and in the future?

Just found this thread from a month ago.

Actually, the color mix of the cars when new had literally nothing to do with the original retail buyers' preferences. Almost all (I'd bet at least 90%) of Ford GT's were spec'd by the dealer before they had a specific retail customer.

In other words, the customer didn't order the car, the dealer ordered it on spec. And since almost all of the PR for the cars showed red or white GTs, that's what the dealers ordered. (Go back and look at all those magazine covers.) That's also why almost all the cars were ordered with all options. More options means more money.

Shelby's experience is a much better indication of actual customer color preference.

I still like the white/blue the best..............stunning in Shelby colors. This one still has delivery mileage only.console replacement 1.jpg
