Yesterday, took 4 of our cars to the local Cars & Coffee gathering, but this location was at Port Angeles, WA for the annual Labor Day Celebration.
Two good friends along with their significant others, were assigned cars to drive once they arrived at our home. One fellow is a neighbor and keeps an eye on our property while we are gone and is an avid "car guy" but does not have a collector car. To him, we assigned the FGT for the day. To top off his drive was to give his wife a ride to the show and driving the car home with his elderly father as copilot. Talk about ear to ear smiles!
The other driver is an absolute car nut and loves the 356 Cab and the '63 Corvette Coupe. He drove both and was thrilled as was his wife.
More important were some of the kids at the show. All of you that have taken your FGT to any show know the comments from the people looking at the car. Many of the kids were simply shocked to see the car as they had only seen it on TV and in video games. Time to get them in the driver seat, let them take a ton of pictures, and remind them that staying in school along with getting good grades is the way to ownership. Hope these suggestions work for them. We try to have the kids sit in the GT every time we show the car.
The last picture is my wife (straw hat) and a friend (wife of the GT driver) ready for the drive home in the '63 Cab.
Fun day and enjoy seeing the cars on the road.
