No Fly Zone March Arizona December 17th

Agreed, it gets boring fast. I only do 3-4 runs then leave. It's basically just a really cool car show, watching and talking to other drivers.

No Fly Zone March Arizona December 17th

I'm taking my GT there :driving: I've gone to 4 or 5 of these in the last couple of years and have never seen another GT out there. :shrug Where are you guys? It's fun times and easy to do even if you don't have any track experience. I usually hit mid 170's, but am hoping to hit 180 this time...

    Arizona 1/2 mile October 8-9

I was there! Sorry I didn't post sooner but I haven't been on this forum in awhile. Everyone was running about 8mph off normal due to a crazy head wind plus it was hot as well out there. They are doing this again on December 17th, I'll be there...

I just added it on. I didn't want to risk it failing

    4.0 Whipple for sale

I've got a 4.0 Whipple supercharger that was installed on my GT a few years ago. It's got less than 500 miles on it. My car is not registered, I don't really drive it. A couple times a year I'll print out a 3 day temp tag to drive it a few miles around town. I have trailered it to two half...

No Fly Zone March Arizona 12th 13th

Well I hit 176. I gained 6mph over last time by adding a Snow Meth injection setup. Gonna try Q16 next time instead of C16 and should get over 180 easily.

No Fly Zone March Arizona 12th 13th

Nobody I guess? lol. I just registered for Sunday (Saturday is sold out!). If you cruise by, come say hi. I'll be there with the red/white GT and my wife and two teen sons. I'm still waiting to get the car/participant list for the weekend, I'll post it here once I get it.

No Fly Zone March Arizona 12th 13th

Is anyone taking their GT out there? I'm going to go one of the days, not sure which one yet. Here's info on the event- https://www.facebook.com/events/905084309556906/?active_tab=posts I went last time, it's a blast.

No Fly Zone Arizona half mile (and tire question)

Do you mean as far as running out of gas sooner?

No Fly Zone Arizona half mile (and tire question)

For the record, the Hoosier A7 in 345-30-19 size hooked hard, I was blown away. No burnouts necessary. I pretty much floored it from 1st gear too, I didn't really wait for "roll ons" like some people were doing. I was very impressed with the traction of this tire...

What is the actual octane of E85? I see different info online, but seems to be around 105? C16 is 117 octane. Anyone else here know which is "better"?

Viper ACR / New ford GT

I'm a fan of the Viper and the GT, I dont see the GT being a faster track car than the ACR, but if it is, that's great. Either way both cars are badass. I doubt we'll see many new GT's on the track though, if ever. I rarely even see Viper's these days other than my own.

    1993 Jaguar XJR-S V-12

Congrats dude! Love those XJ's and you've got the pinnacle of the breed! I had a red convertible XJ12 myself, an '89.

Awesome dude. Are you going to come out in December? They are doing it again the 12th and 13th.

They were no shows :( Maybe they came out on Sunday but I doubt it. Seems like a lot of cars that were on the list never showed.

No Fly Zone Arizona half mile (and tire question)

Well it was my first event, so I know I was probably holding the car back a bit myself and car was super hot as it was over 100* out there. I might try water/meth injection too. Anyone else doing that? What's the half mile record anyway with just a Whipple?

No Fly Zone Arizona half mile (and tire question)

The event was a blast. My best run was 170mph. It was hot and I didn't bring ice. I think next time I'll definitely bring ice and cool the supercharger down in between runs and get closer to 180. There was a newer Porsche there running 206mph running 77 pounds of boost. lol. He was trying...

Yeah me too, the GTM's will be interesting for sure, especially if they are really at the power levels stated (1000 and 700!). 3 more days!!!!!!
