    Running rich

Just need the MoTeC tuning software for the ECU that your car is utilizing, the communication cable for it wheter that is a MoTeC UTC or ethernet cable, and a remote access software. DM and I'll share what I use for this process. Works pretty well... Cheers

    Running rich

If it ran fine before and isn't now, logically, something has changed. MoTeC has default value settings for things like temp sensors and map / maf sensors, etc. If it has a sensor at a high default sensor value because of an unplugged sensor or damaged wiring... it would explain the rich...

Fresh fuel I assume? E0%-E10% Gasoline right? With a MoTeC you will have good data to determine the issue. Remote access to the computer should be considered; this will give you the information needed to quickly diagnose it. It could be ignition related, could be rich misfire, bad fuel not...

    Fubar's GT Build

Hi Guys, We bought an off the shelf nitrous bracket and modified it. The bottle and bracket were listed at 7" dia. but the bottle was significantly under that so we have smaller rings in production now. The floor bracket picks up the front seat fasteners just like the fire bottle as Mark...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

I don't know of replacement in tank pumps.. I assume it is doable but haven't heard of or seen a solution for that. You could use the stock pumps to feed a surge tank and in turn feed a larger external pump. Needs to be laid out and designed correctly but this would work well. Electric pumps...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Tank shell and some lines are compatible, but pumps, wiring, some plastic, seals, and check valves are not compatible with ethanol or methanol. This is why we laser scanned and reverse engineered the stock tank to design a multi-fuel compatible race cell. As to the stock injectors... I'd guess...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Doesn't... I've confirmed with the GT fuel tank manufacture that components in the stock tank are not compatible with Ethanol or Methanol. There are probably additives in various race gasoline fuels that are also not ideal either... I assume that SMOKDU was speaking about an upstream meth...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

I don't believe so. The 4.5 mono-blade is substantially larger than the 4.0L mono-blade... as is the intake plenum for the 4.5L much larger than the 4.0L. As to the Ethanol, if you're going to put the effort in to go there... might as well go all the way and go methanol. It's a much better...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Yes, the new mono-blade is MUCH larger than the Accufab twin. We ran a Whipple mono-blade on Mark's GT that is also larger and had no issues. The Whipple mono-blade on the 4.5L is substantially larger than the mono-blade on the 4.0L. It drives well... it is sensitive to the idle set screw...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Yep... obviously each motor is different and assembly or material quality from part to part may differ... but Mark has been a pretty good test bed... Few drive a GT as hard as he has for as many miles... one of the reasons I really like working with Mark... he'll test the stuff you build! lol :)

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

We're 24-25 max right now right at redline (7000rpm)... the 4.5L in conjunction with our intake really "holds it's head up" (flows more air at higher RPM) better than the 4.0L. The boost kept climbing as RPM increased where the 4.0L and stock airbox will stall out and boost drops slightly. The...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Considering Chris doesn't have headers... I would think the system's numbers would be close to the same as what we got at 21-22 psi WITHOUT headers if at 19-20 psi WITH good headers.

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

Nope... FUBAR's GT has almost 40k miles on the stock single keyway with a 4.0L making about 800whp... and almost every mile of it was at redline banging through the gears up and down... Mark's been to a lot of track days, lots of highway play, TX miles, runs through Mexico etc... When his...

First 4.5L running on a GT!!!!

A properly sized and built turbo system will always produce more power and torque at the higher rpms, where we would run at the mile, over a screw system. Turbos are just more efficient compressors, generating less heat and less parasitic loss. For example... Chris's GT in it's current...
