    Tires!!

I've been on Goodyears mostly, then tried some Pirelli's, but the sidewalls were too soft which created a high-speed wobble under power, which was not fun. I went back to Goodyears for my last set, which was a while ago. They're still round and black, but they're bricks. Last time out my car was...

Any carrera gt owner ? In our ford gt community

I put about 8,000 miles on my CGT. It's a very special car and it's all about the engine. The V-10 Wail is awesome. It makes power and torque everywhere. I had $25,000 Check Engine light, which resulted from a failed cam position sensor. Bottom line, it dumped raw fuel into the exhaust and...

Speedometer failure right after airbag recall. - Coincidence?

Thanks for the input guys. So what exactly is it that fails inside the gauges? It can't be rocket science to figure out a proper fix. i.e. What exactly did AutoMeter do that fixed the small gauges?

Speedometer failure right after airbag recall. - Coincidence?

So I finally capitulated and brought my car in for the airbag recall. All seemed to go well and it looked fine. About 50 miles later the Speedo failed. It moved a little at first, but wouldn't go above 20. Now it just stays at 20, even when stopped. The odometer works though, so I don't think...

Has anyone in NJ had their airbag recall done? - Looking for a dealer recommendation

I'm still getting my monthly letters from Ford admonishing me to get my airbag recall done. I'm the original owner and my car now has 26,000 miles on it but it's never been to a ford dealer for service. I always bring it to Ida Automotive for any service it needs, but he can't do the airbag...

Any Carrera GT owners out there?

I have both a FGT and a CGT so will throw in my two cents. The CGT is a phenomenal car. Carbon tub, horizontal shocks, mid-engine 5.7L V10 developed for F1 and LeMans mated to a 6-speed. The engine noise is simply to die for! It makes impressive mid range torque for such a high pitched screamer...

    Dear Ford...

Dear Ford, Thank you for offering me the chance to be eligible to purchase a new Ford GT. I am thrilled that you have the passion to produce such a car. As I still have the '06 Ford GT I purchased new and have happily put 26,000 miles on it, as well as being a serious car guy, and racer, I...

    Bad crank sensor

My car started running poorly. It would stumble and almost stall off idle, miss occasionally and felt down on power. It initially showed up as a bad Mass airflow sensor code, but after replacing that the problem persisted. After way too many hours of searching, the problem was tracked down to a...

Luggages to travel with a Ford GT.

After 9 years with my FGT I have the overnight thing figured out... I bring a spare pair of boxers and socks in the "Trunk" and always travel with my Visa, AMEX and wad of cash. Even two can travel comfortably this way!

Owner Review: Porsche Carrera GT vs. Ford GT Part 1 of 4

What a fantastic comparison! I am in agreement with your conclusions, but don't find the CGT any scarier to drive than the FGT. Both are easy to drive at reasonable speeds and both require skill, experience, smoothness and sensitivity to drive near their limits. You don't throw the keys of...

    Windshield replacement

I just got a significant crack in my windshield. The car was sitting outside in the sun getting a hand wash, when I was done there was a large crack in the windshield eminating from a previous stone chip. I think sitting in the hot sun followed by a dowsing of cold water did it. Anyways, now I'm...

Shadowman's OEM/NASCAR Style Front Brake Ducts

Beautiful work!! I would go without the fans though, they look like more of an obstruction than providing help. I think the point is to duct as much air onto the rotor as possible at high speeds with heavy braking (during a track day). A cool off lap should be sufficient to get things back down...
