I changed the 15.00 sensor and it wasn't the prob, but the best place to start. The new speedo is on the way and at a reasonable cost. I hope nobody has had to pay 3 g's for a speedo that may need replacement every 10-15k miles. Thanks again for the help, much appreciated. :thumbsup

Build date of my car is 6/05 and battery is still going strong. I have used the Deltran Battery Tender from day one and not the unit supplied by Ford. So far, so good.

I scored the Autolite version about 15 years ago. They were bringing $200-300 at that time. This one looks to be a bit nicer than mine.

That is so cool. The SR was a tough bird to fly in the flesh and probably not much easier in the model form. The last time I got to see the real one fly was 25 years ago at Beale AFB in Ca. Just an awesome craft that was so far ahead of it's time.

They still have a tour at Edwards that is done once a month but I think you have to call ahead and make reservations. About a month ago a friend and I located the YB-49 crash site that took five lives including Capt. Glen Edwards for whom the base is named. The crash took place 61 years ago...

I do remember that smile too. Bony and I made the trip to Shadowman's together and I got to follow him back to Chowchilla. He was constantly getting into the throttle and making sure I got to hear it. His GT really did sound sweet and looked better everytime I saw it. I sure miss him. God Bless...
