Yosemite Fire

I'm sure that Ed and Dave are aware of the fire, which may cause slight alterations in the travel routes for the Rally cruises.

As of Monday afternoon, AP reported that the fire had consumed 230 square miles, making it the largest fire on record in the Sierra Nevada.

Hwy 120 closed from 4 miles west of Crane Flat to Yosemite Creek, for staging I believe, through the holiday weekend (as reported today...things may change).

This means no drive over Tioga Pass from the east to Yosemite Valley, and no access to Yosemite Valley from Hwy 120 west. The alternative access to Yosemite Valley from the west is a long detour south to Hwy 140, which will likely be clogged with pokey RV traffic.

No shortage of fabulous Sierra Nevada roads to explore further north.
