Well, I can tell you they will be some of the remaining pre-production Ford GT's. :biggrin

They will definitely have stories. They will definitely be worth money.

Will they come from a dealer that hasn't been kicked off of the Forum? :tap:

They will be purchased directly from FoMoCo, which is extremely rare.

Figures when I can't be there ....:tap::tap:

proxy bidders? :biggrin

If you have a blue/white one maybe EP can buy it. FoMoCo would be safe with him having one.

Mr. Pockets would be a dream 'steward' of such history. The only worries would be the rubber seals and gaskets going bad. :lol

Heck, we would hear about it everyday too.

A perfect car for Pockets. He never drives them anyway!

For the record, I think there is nothing remotely shady about the Saleen car being offered, I just think it's being misrepresented. If they said "this is not a production vehicle and as such is not intended for public roads" what you do with it thereafter *cough cough* is your business.

Trying to understand this pre production car thing. Why are these cars not supposed to be driven on the roads. Are they lacking crash safety features? Just curious about what is different from the production models that we all own/drive. :cheers

No problem Rex, as long as the vehicle is fairly and honestly presented you can then take the direction that is correct for you. :)

Do you know anything about when, where, why, and how? Will you be able
to find out more specifics or will there be a website or phone number we
can contact to find out more? Thanks DBK.....:banana :thumbsup

Maybe something like this?

PB2-1, the very first pb2 car that was built, advanced over a CP car, that was taken to the SAE convention in 2004?

Maybe with a day of driving instruction at Ford's proving grounds in Detroit? And some very special, VERY top secret other enticements?

In Vegas, at the Rally, at SAI on Saturday night. Details will be given as they get hammered out. I'm putting up as much as I can to put the squeeze on the boys at Ford to not back out. :biggrin
