Whipple, Stainless Works no cats, Accufab TB,and a 100 wet shot of Nitrous.
The car goes in Monday all parts are here.
Any thoughts on the Whipple Nitrous combination?
What is the limit for power output on a stock motor?
I dont know much about Ford motors any experts out there with advice?
Thanks Kurt

Check out the cobra and lightning forums, similar engines, similar issues. what kind of fuel are you going to use?

I am planing to use the 19lb pulley on 91 octane pump gas, but I will also have a 100 octane tune.
I also bought the 23lb pulley.
Totally separate return style fuel system for the nitrous w/ 100 octane in it.
I am hoping for some where in the 900-950 rwhp range.
Do the 03 cobra motors hold up to that kind of power? and is that a good comparison? Thanks for your input! Kurt

I dont know about that. Maybe not for the duration of the FGT block but I think a stock shortblock cobra engine can reach 1000rwhp. If Im not mistaken Hellion had a car that did this.

I believe you are correct.

Also, the GT stock block will hold over 1150 RWHP.....without a doubt.

The question was "would the cobra block hold up the that kind of power", I interpreted that to mean would the engine last for a while. The cobra stock block engine is not stable at 950 hp. It can make it, which is amazing, its just that it won't last very long. This is what John Mihovetz mentioned to me about a month ago. I'm just relaying some info I heard from a reputable source.

By no means am I saying your wrong, I hope it didnt come off as that. It seems like the HP twin cars put out more horse on a certain amount of boost then Hellion single.
