I tried a lot of sources to buy yellow Hot Wheels GT’s in bulk and I couldn’t. So I spent a couple hours on Amazon and EBay literally buying everyone that was reasonably priced on those two sites. I bought probably 500 GT’s 1, 2, 3, or sometimes 15-20 at a time at an average cost of $5.50 each including shipping. I thought it was fun but most would consider it a PIA. Mattel would not respond to my requests to buy in bulk nor did any toy distributors.

Got it! Thanks. You guys may have started an obligatory FGT ownership custom. I like hanging out at car shows. It's a good 120 mile round trip so car gets good exercise also (ask Frankie). Having a toy to hand out makes the experience even more memorable for kids. Gotta get'em in the "car guy" game early.
