With all the throttle blipping, I wonder how much longer the con rods were at the end of that vid that they were at the start?

Some observations:
1. Sounds UNREAL!
2. The driver revving it to oblivion in neutral is asking for problems.
3. Though I love the Carrera GT, I just can't get over how goofy the tranny tunnel/shifting area is.

Judging from the treatment the car got, my bet is the driver must be a valet from wunna the downtown hotels...and the GT belongs to wunna the hotel's guests. (Pbly the same valet guy who took a "joy ride" in FUBAR's FGT.:bored)

Pockets.....I am continually impressessed with your technical prowess!

You are absolutely correct, that "unloaded" RPM "bliping" although it may sound cool is actually very hard on the engine, the rods specifically. I learned my lesson early in life as I threw a rod out the side of my go cart engine reving it in just that matter.

No doubt the internals of the Carrera GT engine are significantly robust relative to my little engine but the unloaded inertia loads on the rods due to these high rpm blips are not what the rods designed for and are not beneficial.

This driver obviously does not have any mechanical insight as to what he is doing....and as you state is probably a valet.
