I would say that the cat-delete pipes with the IDA are significantly louder than using the factory cats with the IDA. Not only louder, but lower in pitch, have a more defined rap, and a wonderful burble on decel. One definitely needs to love loud on long trips with this combo; no drone, but the staccato rap of the exhaust is always your companion. I love it, but I believe a test drive is the best method of decision. I would label the sound as throaty and authoritative. :cheers
