Did she pick you up in it? Dad would probably let it happen based on the size of the backseat (unless you’re a midget).

I had a ’64 for a while. It was cool looking car but not as much fun to drive as I thought it would be. It handled like a school bus.

The 63 split window is the breaking point of the Corvettes I like - '63 and before. After that the lines didn't work. Recall that the basic Sting Ray was designed by Peter Brock who went on to create the Daytona Coupe for Shelby American.

I strongly disagree, sir! There's nothin' at all wrong with the lines of the 1968-1972's!!! :slap :lol

(Of course, I may be prejudiced. I owned a '68 T-top! :tongue)

As a matter of fact I did (if it's enny of yur durn bidnus!) ...4,500 miles in the year or so I owned it before going into the service.:tongue

You and I think alike in this area! I wanted an LS6 powered silver/black back in '70...but, as you undoubtedly know, one could only get a 390 horse 454 in a '70 'Vette - WHY I have no idea. So, I bought an LS6 powered Chevelle SS instead.

Can't be, when you went into the service you must of been driving something like these cars. :lol

Nice SWC! By the badging, I see this is a fuel injection car. Might it be a Z06 as well? Saddle Tan is a pretty rare color too and if it has anything other than Saddle Tan interior, it will be even more desirable, not that Saddle interior is undesireable, it is just that all the Saddle cars I've seen (for 1963) usually have said interior.

I've celebrated my 10 years of owning this car:

Every time I see one of these it makes me all the more anxious to see what CRC's '63 coupe 'recreation' is going to look like.

That's one darn nice looking ride, D.J.!

(Edit: 'Would really like to see this ride! Are there any particular Puget Sound area shows or cruises you're planning to attend with it this summer?)

EP,

Not sure with the '63, but will keep you posted.

Will be in Lynnwood this Saturday at the Concours d'Elegance At The Wood, located at the City Of Lynnwood Golf Course. Have been invited to show our '65 Corvette Big Block Coupe in the Muscle Car section. Opens to the public at 1P and goes to 5P.

That '65 obviously is no 'daily driver' either, is it, D.J.!

If it's not raining cats, dogs and little chickens, I intend to wander down that way and take a look-see at that puppy! :banana

(Wifey will be in Vancouver [B.C.] attending the horse races with her folks, so I'll be "batchin' it" down there. :biggrin)

Would be nice to have clear skies for the day, but, you know......

Hope we can meet.

Take care,

DJ

You are correct, Odo only shows 29K+ miles. Might be 100K+ or 200K+, how to know? Based on the people who have previously owned the car, I think it is reasonable to consider the number as real.

Look's like you better get her home on time, or they will turn that attack dog loose on you.

Maybe her Dad will give it to her for her high school graduation?
