Gentlemen,

After attending the first NFGT race at Daytona a year and a half ago I mentioned to my son how much I'd love to have one of the cool fire retardant suits that the GT drivers were wearing. I asked DBK at that time and he told me they were 1. Super expensive and 2. Probably no way to get one.

There is still no way to get one UNLESS you got your hands on a new GT! I now have one shot to acquire a genuine Chip Ganassi/Ford GT driving suit. Yeah baby!!!!

Guys as most of you have seen, ordered and got mine. These are fantastic. A great addition to the whole NGT collection and process.
Now hunting for a used male mannequin to display it when I am not using it ! :)
Chip you wont regret it. Thanks for the comment above too!

I received my Sparco track kit today. It’s very well done.

Recommendations....

1) Wear shoes for your first pictures[emoji4]
2) Measure carefully! Like all Euro stuff, it’s cut slightly small. I like the fit and it’s very comfortable but I’ll have to skip that second hot dog.
3) The shoes are very narrow. You might consider stepping up a half size. I did a test fit on the shoes at Monterey and added 1/2 size.
4) Don’t waste your money on the trunk bag. The car comes with one (smaller) and you just don’t need it.
5) Gloves fit as expected.
6) Order early... as soon as you know your VIN #. It took 10 weeks for me and the 6 Point harness is still back ordered. (Optional)
7) The helmet has Hans clips but no provision for radio or a ‘lift’ system. Plan on sending it out for completion. The helmet is really nice and super lite.
8) The suit comes with a washing bag to protect it in the clothes washer... a nice touch.
9) The price quoted DOES NOT include shipping or duties. Those added about $150 to the cost.
10) ASK FOR NASCAR LEG CUFFS. They are the straight legged version, not the stretch band around the ankle. Better looking.... more comfortable.

I’m happy. The pricing is a little high but in line with other high quality, custom fit Racing ‘Kit’. The carbon fiber helmet alone is +$5k.

Putting your VIN number and name is a nice touch.

I’m not going to bore you with more pictures. Plenty have been posted already.

looking good. Is the the beach style outfit?
I agree go slightly larger on your measurements even though it is "made to measure".
The shoes I ordered were 45 euro size vs 44 that I would usually wear.
The trunk bag in the car is very different. The one that comes with the car is already full and very very small. But the one from Sparco is expensive. But very nice.
My suit came with the elastic cuffs.

The 6 point harness is now FIA certified and has been received. Out come the seats next for mounting the harness. Anyone done that yet (and how?)

I ordered my car with the 6pt attachments... I suspect it won’t be too difficult. I’ll post it when the harness shows up.

NJS has done it. He posted a picture here of the mounts in the floor. You might contact him.
