I had the SL65 Black dyno'd today. 580 rwhp/744 ft lbs, SAE corrected. Bone stock, 1600 miles on the odo.

My CL65, pre and post tune, is on the chart for reference. With an ECU tune, the CL makes the same torque as the stock Black series...

Very nice. :thumbsup

I hope my SL55 will decide to grow up and become a 65 black or an SLR. :lol :cheers

That's very interesting. I would be curious how a 600+ RWHP FGT would fair against the Black SL65 on the road, or how the SL does against 1000 cc bikes. Naturally, all of these comparisons in a closed environment. :cheers

Looks good Sanjay. We will have to do the Testarossa review in the near future. :thumbsup

CL65 is a 2005 with 30,000 miles, silver, with all options.

Didn't take pics of it on the dyno, but here is the SL Black...

For comparison sake....we put the FGT-TT on the same dyno.

The operator was apprehensive about the rev limiter in a turbo car, so he shut it down a bit early, but you can compare the shape of the curves nonetheless....

Shouldn't the GT be strapped in the other direction?

Shouldn't the GT be strapped in the other direction?

Why, do you run your car on the dyno in reverse? I prefer 4th gear.

My guess: liter bike would crush it.

Especially the new BMW S1000rr

Especially the new BMW S1000rr

power to weight ratios tell you a roughly 900+hp car will match or beat a liter bike. Maybe add 50-75hp for that BMW.

stock engine, just lengthened swingarm.

Ford GT + Driver = 3550lbs/950whp = 3.68lb/hp

S1000RR + Rider =600lbs/185whp = 3.24lb/hp

assuming 150lb rider/driver

Either way, both are baaaaad machines

Lengthened swing arm makes a BIG difference on 0- whatever speed on a bike. Add about .5 to .75 second for a stock swing arm

Take that long swing arm bike and do roll ons with a TT GT and it wouldn't be close. The GT would walk him.

No doubt the liter bikes are faaaaast ( I had a highly modified 175 rwhp one in 2003).

Looking forward to it. If you are free....come out to the Classy Chassis show on Sunday at reliant. I'm getting my 70 Cyclone with the ROush 427 EFI motor ready for display, along with the SL Black, and will be giving autocross rides in the parking lot in the FGT to ticketholders.

Sanjay,
It sounds great, but I just got back from a week in California and I am trying to put my life back together. On another note, I just received my titanium rods for the TR. I am accumulating parts in preparation for a major upgrade. :banana
