Shell V-Power Gas Ad

Keep your eyes out guys for a Shell V-Power gasoline ad that has a Red Ford GT in it! It was unexpected...they show a kid in a minivan playing with his toy Ford GT car and then a real one pulls up next to him. Fun ad for us that love Ford GTs.

That's great. Wasn't there a GT40 in a Shell ad in the '60s? I think the car had a parachute attached. It was a pretty funky ad for the time.

As I recall, Shell was given one of the GT40s from Ford/FAV - strictly for Television Advertising. I think it was GT40 P/1030.

Good stuff! I can't wait to see it. I was always curious that Ford GT's were not more prominent in advertising, either directly by Ford, or indirectly by others. Well, I understand, the direct advertising, little need to advertise a world beater that speaks for itself, but I did think there would be more general advertising.
