Removal of the seat's upper plastic trim?

Does anyone know how to remove the upper plastic trim on the seat (where the racing harness would slip through)?

There are 4 screws on the back that seem to lock it in place...but the front and back pieces don't come apart after removal of those screws. Seem like they would come apart if I pulled on them...but I dont want to chance breaking a tab or something.

Having installed the Hot Buttons, that piece just beckons to be painted a matching silver.

As I recall they are typical Sparco; meaning snapped together.
