Yes, I know - however, many times, those specs are NOT exactly the same as the manufacturer's site, as I've seen in the past, and then you have the issue of the Tire rack not carrying certain tires makes...like Nitto for example, which I have on my Viper and my Z06...

I went to the Michelin site and checked the tire rotations per mile, then converted the result to inches (rolling diameter) and divide by PI to get my radius. At 770 Rotations/mile, the overall diameter comes to exactly 26.19238". That's providing that what they list as rotations/mile is precise - and this was for the 255/35/20. Now, when I go the GY site, they list the overall diameter as 26.3" for the OE 235/45/18 GY Eagle F1 tire. So I see the net difference at .10762", which is marginal, IMO. If I'm wrong in my thinking...let me know please.

Yeah, I don't think "backing-in" from tire rotation per mile is precise enough - maybe for many reasons but not the least of which is that they round that number - with a significant effect on precision.

The overall diameter is really easy to figure out. (Super simple to make yourself a lttle excel spreadsheet.)

Overall Diameter = Diameter of the rim + height of the sidewall + height of the sidewall

Diameter of the rim = Easy.
Height of the sidewall = Simply expressed as percenatge of treadwidth

Example: 235/45-18
Overall dia = 18" + (45% of 235) + (45% of 235)... but don't forget to convert each of the (45% of 235) from mm to inches

I would love to know as well. I considered purchasing this black, no stripe car. It was owned by one of the brothers who owned a second-tier casino in town. In the end, I decided not to because it had too much "bling" in my opinion. Many of the custom, Strut chrome grills I would've wanted replaced.

Anyone know what happened? Anyone? Anyone?...Bueller?

No kidding eh?

Check out this site for tire diameters http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp Much easier to have the calculations done for you than trying to whip out the calculator every time.

Also FBA, don't forget that in order to lower your car, you're going to need some of Alex's adjustable perches, or some Penske (or there's a few other companies now too) adjustable coilovers as the stock units on the GT aren't adjustable.

I see those are two completely different solutions. I found the Penske coilovers online, which also require springs, but am guessing that this is a better solution with a more linear travel...also, can't find any info or links for Alex's adjustable perches...does anyone have that info and which would be the better solution?

So - I ended up going with the ADV1.10's in matt black in a 20 x 13 and 19 x 10, using the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport. front rolling diameter is almost bang on to stock and rear is 3/4" shorter. I'm going to order the adjustable perches from Alex and lower about an 1" t close up the gaps. She should look quite hot. Will post pics in 6 weeks when they arrive!

Hi Shelby,

The VINs match, so we have the same car. The wheels and yellow calipers remain, and from the photos, the silver trim is gone. Looks like exhaust is different. As I recall, the internal Ford service report on this one was interesting. I'd be curious if you can comment on that internal "report".

I'm going to order the adjustable perches from Alex and lower about an 1" t close up the gaps.

You might want to inquire about the adjustable coilovers. I got the single adjust which were pretty affordable. Allows you to tailor your ride height just how you want it. IMO the front needs to be dropped more than the rear.

Speaking to Alex, I asked about both options, but he mentioned that there's really no difference in my application, which is strictly for street use and will be lowered no more than 1.25" anyway...

How low did you end up going from stock?

I am in the process of installation now. Plan is 1.25" in front and .75" in the rear. I also plan the occasional track day and wanted the enhanced responsiveness and adjustability.
