oil guage

The check guage light came on today. My OPG dropped in to the red zone when the car was at idle. I immediately checked the oil and the level was fine. When I increase the rpm's, the OPG immediately bounces back up and the check guage light goes off.

Any idea what is causing this?

I have has this problem since I have owned my car. An OBD-II scan now reports that my oil pressure sender voltage is both too high and too low. I will eventually take it to the dealer.

My gauge is erratic from time to time also, but it never drops below about 25 psi so I have not worried about it too much.
