oil gauge

Hi Guys, My oil gauge stopped working/ frozen at 65. I only have 450 miles on the car. Ford wants $850.00 just for the gauge. Does anyone know where I might find a new or recondition oil gauge cheaper than 850? Thanks much. Jimmy K

I think you should do a search. It is probably the oil pressure sending unit and not the gauge. There are several old posts here concering this and it's MUCH cheaper. Contact Torrie for parts.

...and the ground for same. For some reason many gauge pblms have be solved just by cleaning that whether it looks corroded or not.

I would unplug it from the harness to see if that has any net effect on the problem.
