The hubs and wheel nut covers were custom made for the wheels by a friend that owns a machine shop and the spinners were purchased from another source. They actually have the GT logo engraved on top of the spinners. I then had them painted to match the stripes.
Well... it's not just a set of knockoffs, there are two other parts on each wheel that have to be manufactured in order to install them along with some modifications to the OEM wheels in order to attach them. There are still some small adjustments to make before they are 100%.
The GT tax on this item could make them the most expensive aftermarket item to date :willy:willy
I actually didn't come up with the idea. I bought them from a friend that sold their GT. All of the wheels were polished and I thought they didn't show off the look of the wheels. That's when I decided to paint the spokes like the one I had seen on this site on Chris's gulf GT.
I will try and get a few shots of the wheels up close when I have time.
With the exception for the "GT" engraved on 'em, these look almost exactly the same as the ones I'm going to put with the chrome wheels destined for installation on my '60 Impala.
