You will not be able to gauge clutch wear with pedal-level engagement. Find a nice, dry, safe area and do one or two WOT pulls in third gear. If there's no slipping/tach run-up, the clutch is good. An easier test, might be a 2K -4K RPM at WOT in 4th gear. In summary, if the clutch starts to go on you, you will first notice it slipping in high-load conditions.

Please define 'WOT pulls'.Thanks

WOT = Wide Open Throttle... It means pedal to the metal :)

Just decided to have my clutch replaced today, as it dosn't engage till for very top. and I think it was starting to slip on 5 gear lugging pulls. I could smell it after the run. Decided to not chance it as I am tracking the car next week in Alabama

The GT Guys did a couple of clutches when they were here a couple of weeks ago. They do it blindfolded to keep from getting bored.
