I don't "think" the point of the article was to re-invent version 3 of the FGT but rather to say that another "halo" car "COULD" be in Ford's future. Using the FGT as an example sells magazines. Key word is "could". I "could" be a porn star "if" i had a ..........never mind. I personally do not "think" there will be another FGT. "If" they do, then maybe a GR1 which already has a start. "could", "think", "if".

Chris, you are a legend in your own mind, as I am a legend in my own.

Sub-headline of the article is "We gaze into the Blue Oval and see the future Ford GT." Reports on future Ford GT have run rampant around the internet via Autoblog, Jalopnik, etc, have shown up in Automobile, C&D, R&T, some quoting "sources" as having a basis in reality. At least a dozen recent threads about next Ford GT based on these reports. No factual basis for any of it. It's annoying when people that are supposed to be credible just b.s for attention! I'm all for another Ford GT and have consistently advocated to anyone with juice at FMC that they should do it, but it's simply not on the radar. At this point, they are working on cars MY15 and beyond and none of them are an FGT.

Think about it....The FGT was a halo car to attract attention................and it still is.

Tongues are still waggin' and getting magazine covers.

The Ford boys (PR, Finance, Design, etc....) did their job extremely well!:thumbsup

A nice downsized v6 twin turbo 2700 lb midengine GT look alike 65000 USD would make a nice daily driver.
