Chris, there are some absolutley fantastic roads throughout the Hill Country.
If driving is your interest, you can't find much better.
Senery and lodging is first rate, with very little traffic once you get out past the city limit signs.
Mrs. Spirit and I did the Texas One Thousand a few years ago in the Panoz - 250 miles driving per day for 4 days and 5 nights we and stayed in a number of different locations during the run, was really a lot of fun.
Something along that line might be of iterest to others for Rally IV.
Fred
P.S. I have a shop in San Marcos where the GT Guys can base and work out of to boot.
Sorry, I meant Rally IV........Central Texas and the Hill Country are excellent choices for the rally. I have a few female acquaintances that could make an appearance as well. Great BBQ & steaks, hot babes, beer (I think I have some Makers Mark as well), scenery, superb roads, fast cars.......did I leave anything out?
He has a great 6000 sq ft shop off loop 337 with both a Dynojet and a Dyno Dynamics 4 wheel load bearing dyno. I used to practice down the street from his shop, and I'm sure he'd be open to letting us use his facilities as well.
