As others have said--been lurking for awhile. I appreciate the professionalism and collegiality of this forum. Picked up 05 #1110 (silver/black) last Monday. I stretched to the ragged edge to obtain this car, including selling my beloved 67 big block Corvette. Based on first impressions, it will definitely be worth it. First dumb Q: I assume the Ford-provided cover is kind to the paint?

I've been using the cover and it hasn't caused me any problems (on a dark blue car I'm sure they'd be obvious if it did).

Deacon, VPC beat me to it! That's very sound advice on the cover, i.e. only use it when the car has just been cleaned. I tend not to use covers on any of my cars, despite them all having one - I guess it depends how dusty it's going to get.

I think the Ferrari car covers are definitely more kind to the paint... The car cover is nice, but I think not to the ultimate kindness to the paint. .. Particularily if you have a dealer throw it over an unwashed car... like happened to me.- Thanks to Florida Chris to have pointed my attention to that one, some time ago..Bill Briley said:

I can see you in your GT already - drive west on Sunset to the sea, turn that jungle music down etc.

Neilda: I'm in the high desert southwest so the drive would be 50 miles north to Durango, Colo and north into the Rockies. Not this time of year, though! Yeah, my wife says I'm stuck in the 70s. I say So?

I recently posted the same question and received great response. I chose California Car Cover as my choice. It will take 15 days to make and a few more to receive it but will be well worth it.
As soon as I receive it and try it out I will let you know.
