Here is a shot of my GT's newest stablemate - a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible. She's one of only around 800 made in 1958, with far fewer surviving. I've always been a big fan of the 1940's and 1950's Cadillacs and spent quite some time finding the right car.

We'll spend the next few months making some subtle cosmetic improvements to a nicely restored car, hoping to get her ready for the car show circuit (AACA and Cadillac Club events).

A few years ago my Dad and I purchased and rebuilt a 1959 Cadillac convertible together. It has been one of the most fun cars to work on, drive, and look at.

Congratulations on the new purchase!

...after looking at that interior, all I can think of is a Tim Allen schtick about changing the channel on the stereo. :thumbsup

Georgous!

Great car. One of my "faves". Have my detail guy - Ausitn Patton - from Greenville, SC come and make her 'whole'. He works wonders. :thumbsup

Love the car! If you weren't all the way across the country I'd love to see it in person. A few more photo's wouldn't hurt though. :thumbsup
How about the two 58's side by side.

Back in the early 1960's my uncle had a beautiful 1957 Eldorado Seville. I always loved the look of that car. I've been looking for one for several years. Congratulations on a great purchase. Now you are really ready to do some cruzin', - enjoy!

Thanks Guys !
I thought about the 1957 and 1958's, trying to decide which to pursue. The 1958's have some subtle technological advantages, and some prefer the styling of the 1957's - single headlight, more chrome on the front.
Now, I have to make some room and sell my 1958 Sedan that I've had for a few years.

It sure is a lot easier to lower the top than it is to lower the seat. :biggrin
