Hey Everyone,
I saw Dave a few weeks ago at Pebble Beach and told him I had created a new website dedicated to the 2005-2006 and 2017+ Ford GT. He said it was okay to let the forum members know about it, so here you go.
The site's URL is http://www.karlbrauer.com and it went live on August 8th. I've put up a new article every weekday (I've skipped weekends, so far). The material comes from my ownership experience of having a 2005 GT for over 11 years and posting dozens of stories for various publications in that timeframe.
Everything from the debut of the GT40 concept car at the Detroit show in January 2002 to touring the assembly line at Saleen Special Vehicles and Wixom in June 2005 to over 100 articles and blog posts about the ownership experience over 3 years and 17,000 miles.

Today's post is the original coverage of the very first Ford GT Owners Rally in Dearborn in August of 2006. A lot of forum members are in the photos and might recognize themselves from 10 years ago. http://www.karlbrauer.com/ford-gt/august-2006-ford-gt-owners-rally/.html
Like a lot of you I've taken a tremendous amount of photos and video of my car, plus I have a lot of documents dating back to the original GT40 concept car press kit. I've included as many of these as I can on the site for people who want to see what can now be described as "vintage" Ford GT material. This was a story about the car's compressed development process: http://www.karlbrauer.com/ford-gt/august-2003-a-new-2005-ford-gt-is-in-development/.html
I'm also going to be publishing material related to the new 2017 Ford GT that many of us will be fortunate to get in the next 4 years. http://www.karlbrauer.com/ford-gt/i-get-to-buy-a-2017-ford-gt/.html
I've wanted to find a place for all this content for years, and when I was approved for a 2017 Ford GT I realized a second wave of photos and material would be getting generated. Rather than having even more content sitting on a hard drive where nobody can see it, I decided to publish what I already have and try to keep up going forward with the 2017 material.
Two things you'll notice about the site:
1. Every picture is "clickable" so you can see a larger version
2. No ads -- I'm not trying to make money with this site, just find a place for thousands of images and documents that's more accessible than the hard drive they normally sit on where no one can enjoy them
If you've got nothing better to do feel free to give the site a look and tell me how to make it better. Here are a few more key articles:
Ford GT versus Gran Turismo 4 (the Playstation driving simulator): http://www.karlbrauer.com/ford-gt/august-29-2005-ford-gt-versus-gt4-part-one/.html
Local SoCal Ford GT Owners Rally, circa April 2006 and featuring several forum members, including our own SteveA (next to his red GT): http://www.karlbrauer.com/ford-gt/april-2006-2005-ford-gt-long-term-test/.html
Thanks!
Karl
