I just bought this '69 Charger Daytona, a car that has been on my "dream car" list since I was a little kid. I grew up in a Mopar (and occasionally Ford) family, and on every Mopar fans dream list is a "wing car" (Superbird or Daytona) and a real Hemi car. This car is something I plan to keep for the long haul. It is sort of a celebrity in the wing-car community. There were 503 Charger Daytonas made (compared to almost 2000 Superbirds), and only 3 were made in this Q5 turquoise color. It has been featured in many magazines, and is a previous winner at the Mopar Nationals. Ertl used my car to model their limited-edition Turquoise Daytona model after, even using a modified copy of the original window sticker from my car to include with their model. Needless to say, I am pretty excited. Took it for a spin after it came in tonight- so quiet compared to all of my modified cars. I can't wait to get it up to speed (once I slip on some different wheels), and feel the effects of the aero package, compared to my two other regular Chargers.
