Congratulations on the car......

There have been a few threads on this subject, however I think the main things should be:

1. A dust cover in the front trunk in a black zip bag with the GT logo on.

2. An electric tyre inflator with can of gunk for repairing punctures. This also has the screw in towing eye - so it is an important thing to have.

3. Owners handbook in the car in a leather folder.

4. Some owners also received an owners 'book' - a hardback brochure (for want of a better description).

5. Some owners (not me and not many!) got a trickle charger/battery tender.

6. A plastic front number plate mount.

I think that's it. What has your dealer suggested might be included?

Ask him if the half shaft retaining bolts have been replaced.

thank you all, nice to be aboard

I got a Tungsten, stripes, red calipers, Mac, fully optioned I guess, although I didn't need the Cd player, or the stripes actually, #1428

Got it in Texas, $158,017.31 (gulp!), which was $157,500. for the car, a Texas dealer inventory fee (!) $407.31, title and $60 license, $50. doc fee, $5. deputy fee, no tax in Oregon

Thx for the list Neil,

BTW, had been reading about the "value" and what will happen, hey in almost every case cares are a depreciating asset, IF I wanted to make money I wuld have bought a house !
er....can't drive one of those though...
Cheers

Plus, you are about $12K+ plus ahead of your California neighbors. I bought mine sight unseen in Pennsylvania, but I had to write a nice check to our CA DMV, when I registered it here. But, very happy to be able to have a GT, in any event.

Cheers!!!

Compared to what I paid last March for an identical car (except I have gray painted calipers) you got a good deal. I'm still thrilled, as the premium I paid was well worth the smiles I've had over the last 7 months!

You are about in the right area on price...What dealership did you get it at? Maybe Bigs and I can go by and sit in it before they ship it out to you :)

Congratulations on the new machine.:cheers
Always glad to have another GT on the road.:thumbsup
Sorry to see another one leave Texas [Chip Beck seems to buy nothing but Texas cars and then exports them to Arizona] if this continues we may loose our status as another "county".:lol
Enjoy The Ride.:biggrin

Ok Then...

THANKS GUYS...it would be too late anyway ! I stepped up and thought it was fair price, like $2500 over invoice or so I was told, mac Haik Ford in Houston, good guys there !

BTW check on my post on Half shaft issues, just got off the line with a class "A" bitch Karen Jones from Ford, no love there about bolt shear issues !

Very Good Purchase!

I, too think you did very well price wise. I have the same (or nearly so) options as BiggsGT and purchased my 06 in April at MSRP. I was lucky enough to find a dealer (let me emphasise GREAT dealer) who let me order the car optioned the way I wanted. So I ordered a two option car and absolutely love the car. As other threads on the Forum indicate most owners are passionate about their GT's and place them at the pinnacle of ANY car ownership. Glad you joined our group. Enjoy the ride!!

For those on the fence, get one soon as many of us are so enjoying owning one, we are buying another...!
