'Jay Leno's Garage' has appeared in Popular Mechanics for the past 10 years. In the May 2009 issue, they are celebrating the past decade with his opinions as to what vehicles have the potential to be collectibles in the future.

One litmus test that is used is his purchase 10 years ago of a McLaren F1 for $800K. He uses this example because one recently sold at auction for $4.1M as to the potential for his acumen.

He states, 'Obviously, Corvettes and Ford GTs will always be desirable, because they were collectibles from the day they came out'.

....he also mentions a Ford Taurus, Hummer, Prius, etc....:ack

Does this mean that HHGT, PeakCompletions, FlorIdahoChris, DGCA, Midnite Blu, GTJoey and his NY Crew, and any other multiple GT owner/investor, etc.... get to retire now, off of the leverage??? :lol

BTW - he calls out modern, mid-'90's Ferrari's specifically as non-collectibles.
