Gulf Vintage Gas Pump

Hey guys,

I know there are some experts on Gulf memorabilia here so I need some advice...

I want a really nice vintage Gulf gas pump for my new toy box shop... just setting it up and will post pics when I am done.

Anyone have any recommendations. There are lots of sites out there and it is hard to tell which ones are good and not.

There is a place here in Florida called Past Gas www.pastgas.com. They do high quality work but I don't know if they ship. I have a Shell pump that has been restored and is perfect.

For my new shop project.. I was thinking it would be really neat to have race gas on tap... :biggrin

Anyone buy the restored operational ones? I wonder how long they would last pumping race gas?

you can get a glass volume pump. You know the ones that you pump gas into the gas container on the top and then pump into the car or whatever. They are almost indestructible ... race gas will not hurt them. Also race gas won't hurt most pumps rated for POL. Yes like the one in your photo ... but that is not the oldest model that i have seen.

There is a dealer right off I 44 north of Springfield that has them ... I think he rebuilds them. After SEMA I can go up and look for you if you want.
